We had lots of fun checking out the animals, including Aidan's favorite: Sad Monkey. Sad Monkey has lived in a cage by himself ever since we moved here over 3 years ago. He truly does have the saddest face and looks really lonely in his enclosure, and Aidan views it as his personal responsibility to pay a visit to Sad Monkey and check on him every time we go.

| I saw a few monkeys of my own. |
The other main attraction of the zoo (other than the animals, of course), is the poo. If you've read past blog posts, you know that the Taipei Zoo has an odd fascination with poo.

| As the sign says, the Taipei Zoo is "All about Feces." |
We were excited to see the return of the poo wall! It was under renovation last time we were there, but there it was again, looking all fresh (?) and colorful.
The boys also took heed of this sign...
...and climbed into the giant poo replica to "see what a maggot's life is like," as the signs suggests.
There were a few new poo signs around (including a couple that were just too gross to post!).
Above, that's a local-style squattie potty (with a computer display?) with a cartoon poo in it listening to music...yeah...don't get it.
There also seemed to be a new mascot...
Super Poo!
But, even Super Poo sometimes has to, well, you know...
I am very confused by the above image.
You can all see why we're regular visitors to the Taipei Zoo. (Pun intended.)
